The ASUS Z10PH-D16 is a server board designed to provide high-density computing power, with efficiency and best streamlined airflow. Z10PH-D16 supports the latest CPU technology to maximize processing performance, along with premium components for premium efficiency and flexible expansion — so it is ideal as a computing node in HPC and IPDC markets, or in any applications that require true high density.

High density 16–DIMM design

ASUS Z10PH-D16 board is equipped with 16 DDR4 DIMM slots in a half-size serverboard. DDR4 memory features faster clock frequencies and higher data transfer rates up to 2133 MT/s, and it offers a lower voltage standard of 1.2V that reduces memory power demand and provides improved performance. Built as a 2U four-node server, Z10PH-D16 would provide up to eight CPUs and 64 DDR4 DIMM slots, providing high density for high computing power environments. This high density makes Z10PH-D16 a premium choice for HPC and IPDC markets, or in any applications that require true high density.

Cable-free for best streamlined airflow

The ASUS Z10PH-D16 is designed with a golden finger which integrates many onboard signals to offer a cable-free design for system integration. The golden finger design provides best condition for streamlined airflow, ensuring neat-and-tidy routing for optimal cooling efficiency and heat dissipation.

1+1 PCI-E Expansion Capability with flexible I/O upgrade kit

The onboard PCI Express 3.0 x24 slot can switch to one PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot and one PCI Express 3.0 x8 slot by installing the default riser card. Through the riser card, Z10PH-D16 serverboard is able to support one standard low profile add-on card and one proprietary form factor I/O upgrade kit such as ASUS PEM-FDR, PEB-10G/57840-2S for upgrading to InfiniBand and 10GbE solution.

Premium components for premium efficiency

ASUS Z10 server board series design the premium power solution with the hand-chosen components and provide premium efficiency which is up to 94%. The premium power solution consist 4 pillars to achieve the 94% premium efficiency: Beat Thermal Choke, Dr. MOS, 12K capacitor and Digi+ VRM. A special fin design of Beat-Thermal-Choke results in 3-5℃-lower choke temperatures and raise the stability, and translates into minimal-loss power delivery. The Dr. MOS is a proven stable circuit integrated MOSFET, which can optimize the switching performance and contribute the efficiency to the system. ASUS DIGI+ VRM design empowers users with superior flexibility and has the perfect precision to ensure optimized performance, extreme system stability. Moreover, ASUS is the world’s first server manufacturer to introduce 12K solid capacitors which are able to withstand up to 1,200,000 hours of temperatures as high as 65°C (12K hours@105°C). These 12K capacitors can also lower equivalent series resistance (ESR) and thus to increase efficiency and minimal heat generation.

Quick Initialization Guidance

The ASUS Z10 series features quick initialization guidance which let users realize system initialization state in seconds; furthermore users are able to diagnose system instantly through POST code message in the POST stage. The quick initialization guidance during the POST includes 2 phases. In phase 1 — POST in seconds, the screen lightens in seconds to make users instantly access to system initializing status. In phase 2, device scanning information and 2-digit POST code messages are available to give users a total understanding of startup process and to clearly indicate boot-up status which is easy for troubleshooting.

Complete remote server management

The ASMB8-iKVM (IPMI 2.0-compliant) enables remote update BIOS, standalone KVM/Java utility, video recording and BSOD capture. Based on out-of-band management, even if the server operating system is down or offline, the KVM module can still provide round-the-clock remote monitoring and diagnosis through a user-friendly web-based graphical interface via all major browsers. In addition, ASWM Enterprise software provides one-to-multiple centralized management including BIOS flash, software dispatch, task scheduler, remote control, and power control, all through a colorful and informative graphical interface. Through ASUS remote management solution, users could save time and effort on server management and trouble-shooting.

Visible Port 80 from outside

Z10PH-D16 has a friendly built-in Port 80 display panel on the rear for simple monitoring of the entire boot process, from the early hardware-awakening stages to the launch of the operating system and beyond. The friendly design enhances usability and clearly indicates boot-up status which is easy for maintenance, with no need to open the case — saving time and effort.
